Hanwell and Norwood Green Orchard TrailCome and help Hanwell and Norwood Green Orchard Trail (HANGOT), a great organisation who plant fruit trees in public green spaces to encourage biodiversity and foraging for food. We help them to plant and maintain their orchards along the Grand Union Canal. For this session, we'll be joining HANGOT volunteers for one of their summer "work evenings".

We may be doing one or more of:
- ๐ Wheelbarrowing
- โ๏ธ Cutting back invasive plants
- ๐ฟ Watering
- ๐ Mulching
- Any other general maintenance
๐ When and where? ๐
18:30 ๐โโ๏ธ Run:
- ๐ Meet at Bodyline Studios (5-6 Spring Bridge Mews, London W5 2AB)
- Easy 3.6km run to HANGOT's base on the Grand Union Canal
19:00 ๐ง Meet at Bernd's Shed:
- Bernd's Shed is on the canal towpath
- The easiest route there is from The Fox Inn, W7 2PJ
- Walk towards the canal and turn left onto the towpath
- Walk around 200m and Bernd's Shed is on your left
- We'll then move as a group along the canal to one of HANGOT's orchards

- ๐งค Gardening gloves, if you have them
- ๐ฆ Bug spray, if you're sensitive to bites
FAQ
Not sure you'll keep up? GoodGym is for everyone (18+). Whether you've never run before, or are chasing a marathon PB, you are 100% welcome. We always have a back-marker so no one gets left behind.
If you're not comfortable running, you can also meet us at the task location in the description.
What if I'm not a runner? 70% of GoodGym members start as non-runners so if you're new to this kind of thing you will be supported by people who are all on the same journey. ๐
What do I need to wear? Most of us wear gym/running gear but this isn't required, so wear whatever you're comfortable working in. Make sure you're prepared for the weather.
Don't feel like you're fit enough? Our tasks are simple and fun. There are easy jobs as well as more challenging things for those who want a workout! The choice is always yours.

Remember that we run to and from the task, so you'll only be running for half this distance in one go.
This is a standard GoodGym group run. If you can't run for more than 15mins without stopping or you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact us.

We're not planning to do anything purposefully dangerous, but GoodGym takes no responsibility for your safety during group runs, you participate at your own risk.
