Tiny Forest Hanger Hill Park
Tiny Forest is a dense fast-growing native woodland of 600 trees planted densely in a tennis-court size plot, maximising benefits per m2 of land. The proponents, Earthwatch, engage with local communities to plant, maintain and monitor their forest over time. The forests reconnect people with nature and raise awareness of climate change.

About

You don’t need to be a scientist to help measure biodiversity. Join us for a simple, guided survey in your local Tiny Forest, where we’ll be counting pollinators, bugs and butterflies. Your observations feed into real scientific research tracking how these forests support nature in urban areas β€” helping shape the future of biodiversity across the UK. It’s quick, easy, and your time makes a genuine impact.
