Who this task will support
Treemendous York Partnership
Volunteers working with stakeholders advising and supporting tree planting and maintenance in the York area.

We have been asked by Treemendous to help their volunteers to plant bare root native tree species saplings at a site at Campus East University of York (Kimberlow Hill). The trees will need to be protected and supported. These trees have been sponsored by Betterworld. There will also be opportunity in the future to return to help these tiny trees to grow and thrive!

Heslington Park Run is very close, so why not do that then come along for a little while. Although the event is from 09.30 - 12.00, anytime you can spare to help plant would be much appreciated.

The "TREEMENDOUS" York partnership, a voluntary, not for profit group supported by City of York Council, was formed in 2011, bringing together organisations and individuals with an interest in tree and hedgerow planting to drive forward a programme of planting 50,000 trees within Greater York.

Meet at York Campus Nursery Car Park Y010 5AG. Opposite York Sports Village. What3words: https://w3w.co/small.visits.puff

If you're joining later, you will see planters close to the car parking area / the sports centre.

If you do have a spade or mallet you can bring, please do.

How are you getting there?
