Who this task will support
Sustainable Merton
As Merton's local environmental charity, we aim to inspire, mobilise and enable our community to take action on climate change and protect our environment for future generations. Sustainability and wellbeing go hand in hand, so our projects address both environmental and social goals, such as addressing the cost of living crisis and strengthening community connections. We believe that a happier, healthier, more connected community is one that will have the greatest impact.

We will be back helping the Canon's House Community Garden volunteering team with various jobs that need to be done. It's now a year since we started helping out here and this is a great task to join as there will be other new and regular volunteers. Plus there's a very nice cafe nearby!

Bring gardening gloves if you have them and we recommend wearing layers and dressing for the expected weather. Bicycles can be locked up just in front of the Leisure Centre close to where the gardening work takes place.

Please ask for Sarah on arrival if you don't see any GoodGym T-shirts, and you would be welcome to arrive earlier or stay longer than the listed session time as the work will be going on between 10.30am and 1.30pm.
