WrapUp London aims to collect and distribute 20 000 coats to everybody that needs one this winter - but to be able to do this they need US!
They need help to sort through the thousands of coats we receive every year, making sure they’re clean, comfortable and most importantly, warm!
This will happen at the sorting hub at the Safestore Morden, 141 Garth Road, SM4 4LG.
Getting There
Head to reception and ask for WrapUp London. The staff will direct you to the third floor, where the HandsOn London Team Leaders will be waiting.
What you will be doing:
• Checking for quality – All coats are checked for holes, stains, broken zips and missing buttons. If something is hindering the quality & warmth of the donation, it will be recycled. Labelling, sorting and bagging.
Give a coat, warm a heart!
Some of volunteers may be involved with writing out messages that have been passed on from donors – before slipping the notes in the coats to let the most vulnerable know that we’re thinking of them.
This is a hugely impactful task that will improve the quality of so many peoples' lives - we need all the GoodGym help we can get!
Join any time between 10 and 2pm.
