The Big Knit: Age UK & Innocent Drinks Partnership

The Big Knit is an annual fundraising campaign run by Age UK in partnership with Innocent Drinks. Since 2003, the initiative has encouraged individuals and community groups to knit or crochet small bobble hats, which are then placed on top of Innocent smoothie bottles. For each bottle sold with a hat, 30p is donated to Age UK to support older people in need .

How to Get Involved Deadline: The final date to submit your knitted hats is 1st July 2025. Submission Options:

By Post: Send your hats to:

In Person: Drop off your hats at any Age UK shop or local Age UK branch or when we are volunteering at their superstore.

Patterns: A variety of knitting and crochet patterns are available on the Age UK website to help you get started .

Impact of Your Contribution Each hat contributes 30p to Age UK, helping to fund essential services such as:

Providing support and companionship to older individuals facing loneliness.

Assisting those struggling with the cost of living, particularly during winter months.

Offering advice and information on health, benefits, and housing.

Since its inception, the Big Knit has raised over £3.2 million, thanks to the efforts of thousands of knitters across the country .
