Help those in food poverty at Christmas

Date and time

Who this task will support
Wimbledon Foodbank
We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.

You’ll be at the store entrance, handing out a warm smile to the shoppers, and a simple "Can you support your local Food bank today", giving out the most needed items shopping list for those who want to engage. Alternatively, you might be collecting donations and packing them into crates. Shifts are available 13:30-16:00 or 16:00-18:30. Please indicate when you are able to join the team when signing up via the comments (or on the Goodgym Merton Whatsapp Group) so we can make sure the organisers know when to expect you.
