Armchair Removed, Leg Care Improved
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.
- Monday, 4th of April 2022
Mrs M has leg ulcers and has been advised to elevate her legs everyday. However, she does not have suitable seating to do so. GoodGym was asked to remove her current armchair to create space for a riser recliner chair and increase her quality of life.
Seasoned furniture removal runners, Jack and Anne were on hand to get the job done. The old chair, although bulky, was unexpectedly light. The bigger problem - literally - was squeezing it through the doors. Realising that riser bars had been fitted, these were removed, thereby reducing the dimensions of the chair sufficiently to get it outside.
After posing for a quick photo and relocating the lift, Jack and Anne brought the chair down to the ground floor and carried out to the bulky waste collection area ready for disposal, leaving Mrs M with the space she needs to put her feet up (as did Jack, briefly, for the after shot!)
