Plan B
8 GoodGymers made their way 7.0km to help the The UP Garden in Newham.

Legitimate t-shirt weather yesterday, possibly for the first Wednesday this year. Jack, Brad, Louise and I jogged in a north easterly direction towards the mural. On route we discussed our favourite crisps: Brannigans, Mccoys - Cheese and Onion, Kettle Chips - Salsa and Mesquite. Other points of conversation were Jack's 100mile walk, The Hammer's and the Europa Conference League, what defines a crisp, Honiton and Jarvis Cocker at the BRIT awards.
Joined by Rosa, Paul, Shaz and Kev at the wall, we lingered for a bit, then tried to open the anti graffiti tub, which we were tasked with applying to the wall. After finally managing to pry it open, when Jack precisely whacked down a roller a millimeter from my lovely hands onto a worriedly held screw driver...we found out the liquid had solidified. A very unfortunate user error, hopefully they can get more and we can find a Wednesday in the coming weeks.
The contingency plan was rather well organised, we shipped over to The Up Garden and completed a reshuffle of the yard corner. Moving half a tonne bag of sand, propping up some fences, relocating some crates and wooden planks then finally bagging a lot of rubble. Our octet made light work of it, but I suspect without us that would have taken a rather long time.
Next week, our old haunt - Cody Dock, need our help setting up for an event. Sign up here to lend a hand to this canal-side community gem.
Till then,
B
