The annual Sean Coxhead Inspiring Individual Award is now open for nominations. This award honors GoodGymers who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, kindness, or effort in serving their local community and the GoodGym family.
Inspired by the legacy of Sean Coxhead, a beloved member of the GoodGym community, this award celebrates those who embody his spirit of service and compassion. Sean tragically passed away in 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. His memory continues to inspire us all and each year we honour his contribution.
Previous winners have been:
- 2020: CJ Jessup from GoodGym Camden
- 2021: Elizabeth Halford from GoodGym Norwich.
- 2022: Sheila Attenborough from GoodGym Windsor and Maidenhead
- 2023: Louise Cheong from GoodGym York
Anyone is able to make a nomination and the final award is judged on the following criteria:
- Impact: how great was the impact of this person’s actions?
- Dedication: to what extent did they show dedication and go above and beyond expectations as a GoodGym community member?
- Overcoming adversity: to what extent did they overcome adversity to achieve this?
- Kindness: to what extent did they show extraordinary kindness or effort?

Nominations will be reviewed by the GoodGym central team and a shortlist judged by a panel comprised of three special guests.
Some guidance for your nomination:
- Please use as specific examples as possible throughout your answers and give as much detail as possible.
- Each person can only make one nomination.
- This award is about activity during 2024 so please only include information about your nominees activity during this year.
- Please try to give as detailed answers as possible. The word count for each entry is 250 words.
- Nominations close on Tuesday 26th November.
- The winner will be announced before Christmas
