Today we thought we'd be painting some more blue walls but the Thursday volunteers had beaten us to it (making the most of a sunny day) and today Lido regular Keith took on the job of cutting in so it all looked tidy. Can't wait to see what My Dog Sighs does with it!
So our job today was to do battle with the ever falling leaves. We needed to get them out of the gulleys to try and prevent soil forming and weeds growing. Lucy got started in the corner near the entrance while Catherine and I caught up as we haven't seen each other for ages!! Manuel was on his way by bike after oversleeping! He redeemed himself by inventing the waterfall method for collecting leaves.... Check out our Facebook page for the videos!
Paul was entertaining himself with the leaf blower and we gathered up all the leaves blown into piles. We decided that the piles of leaves we'd created for compost would make a good hotel for a hedgehog 🦔 or mouse 🐭🐁
Although we'd kept fairly warm through sweeping and shoveling, we didn't say no to a cup of tea before we left!
Thanks to Catherine & Lucy for the photos. Clair from Seekers also took some pics which she's made look very professional with logos and everything!
