A Fast as Lightening-Pole Mission

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.

On a balmy Friday evening, Juliet and I met at Ms A’s house to change the fluorescent lightbulb in her kitchen, as she’s been cooking by lamplight for a week.

After a quick bit of research (YouTube) to make sure we knew what we were doing (those bulbs last a long time - who’s ever had to change one before?!) we got cracking.

With a delicate bit of twisting, we got the casing off and the bulb out, and soon had the new bulb and starter plug (like the BBQ firelighters of the fluorescent lightbulb world, they get things roaring into life) in place.

We chattered about weekend plans, then bid each other farewell until a bumper day of group runs on Monday. Good luck with your trail race Juliet, and wish me luck for a marathon (!) day of festival drinking!
