Between two bikes and five sets of running legs, seven GoodGymers gathered for tonight's Community Mission at the Malago Berry Maze. With unbelievable GoodGym punctuality, we got started before the mission time. Germinal introduced us to the task by producing 5 massive posts and a special stake-inserting implement from a hidden path leading to an equipment treasure-trove.

The Malago Greenway Berry Maze is part of Bristol Open Doors Day this weekend, and ahead of opening their fictional-doors to the public, they needed to mark out the path to keep those curious Bristolians from escaping from the maze. To do this, we had to hammer the stakes around the maze and connect them with wires. Each stake was a five person job to get it securely into the ground.

While everyone else set to work with this, Darren and I got the simple job of taking out a small stake from the wrong place to move it. Twenty minutes later, we had dislodged a tiny bit of soil from the base of the 'unmoveable' pole, only to be embarrassed by David and Germinal spending five minutes doing the same thing and taking the pole out with ease. Sigh.

Within an hour, the Berry Maze was looking fenced in and ready to get people lost in on Saturday. Find out more so you can join in here.
