A note and a lump in my throat.
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Wandsworth.
- Wednesday, 20th of May 2020
After arriving to Mrs C on a scorching hot day, I picked up the list and readied myself to queue as ASDA...only to discover that no one was queuing to shop - they were already sunning themselves on Clapham Common!
Mrs C's list didn't look too intimidating at first but as more and more bottles went in, my arm began to struggle! However, I refused to give up on a list so wise that it crossed out 'custard creams' and replaced it with 'chocolate biscuits'. After hunting down a tub of strawberry ice cream, I had everything requested and it came 63p under budget.
Carried everything back to Mrs C as quick as I could to stop the aforementioned goods from melting. As she opened the door, she was so incredibly grateful to GoodGym that she handed me the lovely note attached wishing us all safe and well. It brought a tear to my eye and I headed home feeling all aglow (though, this was possibly just the sunburn).

What a lovely thing for Ms C to do, and well done for getting the shopping done in this scorching heat!
