A squash and a squeeze
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bournemouth.

I arrived at Mr M's house and met Emma, the lovely OT from the hospital and Daryl, who'd arrived before me. We had to swap a large corner sofa into a bedroom and the bed into the lounge so that Mr M can receive the care he needs when he gets home from hospital. Emma had been told the sofa should come apart but this proved trickier than it sounded. We searched for brackets, screws, anything that would be holding the two parts of the sofa together but couldn't find anything. So we attempted to move it as one whole sofa - that was a mistake! Only after a phonecall to Emma's boss and a bit more brute force, did we manage to separate the two parts of the sofa. Unfortunately the larger piece still wouldn't budge through the lounge door so we had to leave it where it was and put the smaller part into the bedroom. Putting the bed back together was a piece of cake after the sofa shenanigans. We even spotted the cat in the garden so Emma can reassure Mr M that his cat is ok. Definitely the hardest mission I've done yet! Lots of head scratching and problem solving but Daryl and I were so happy to leave knowing that Mr M can come home from hospital.
