All I'm askin', is for a litter respect
3 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Redbridge.

Tonight 3 GoodGymmers met up to pick litter along a busy roadside in Redbridge.
This was mine and Beth's first visit to South Woodford (& Beth's first visit to GoodGym Redbridge). Luckily, old-hand Peter (occasionally known as rugby-mutilated-hand-Peter) was onhand to show us the prime littering locations.
There was lots of the usual litter that gets thrown out of cars: crisp, chocolate and drink containers. There was also a random piece of metal with leaves attached (some form of artistic commentary) and a rather intriguing heavy plastic sack that turned out to have wood in it (& not the body parts we were expecting from our Netflix viewing habits).
Two particular highlights stood out for me: First, I got to use my brand new handheld floodlight (it's lit 😎). Second, I discovered that when you're outside the car, a car driving over a cattle grid sounds very much like a wet fart. It's very childish, but I couldn't plog straight for that section of the pick because I was laughing too hard.
Regardless, it was a fun evening out, and we surveyed our haul with pride before heading home (I mean, obviously it would be better that people didn't litter, but it's satisfying to see the results of your efforts).
Beth, Peter: See you guys again soon! 😄
