All the B's for the bank holiday...Boscombe, broccoli, bacon, bleach, bananas and a balcony!
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Bournemouth.
- Monday, 25th of May 2020
After a lovely run through Queens Park and Kings Park, I got to Boscombe and had Mrs A's shopping list. She had described where everything on her list would be in her local Sainsbury's so the only item I struggled with was Quorn sausages (I could only find frozen ones). I was back with Mrs A quite quickly and she was very grateful for her shopping. She explained that she has a pull-along shopping bag but finds it's difficult with the stairs and the fact that she is on a stick. I told her it was a pleasure to help. I'm too far away from my own granny to be able to look after her and am so grateful to the kind people currently doing her shopping and cooking meals for her. A few bags of shopping for Mrs A is the least I can do to pass it on. As I was leaving, she said she'd wave from her balcony. We chatted about her lovely sunny, flower-filled lunch spot and I left with a big smile on my face.
