Beating the Veganuary Blues!
7 GoodGymers made their way to help the Birmingham Central Foodbank in Birmingham.

It was great to see 7 hardy GG'ers braving the torrential wind, rain and sleet to do the weekly evening shift at the Birmingham Central Foodbank. This week we welcomed Laura and Karin for their first experience of the foodbank and after a quick introduction with Matt they swiftly began sorting through the donations, assisted by Annie, Louise and Rauul. Tousif helped with sorting the donations in the other room and quoted "Work smarter, not harder", something we could all do with!
With the initially moderate donations sorted, we began sorting through the backlog of donations which had built up over the Christmas period and before we knew it we were snowed (or perhaps even sleeted?) under! After two hours of excellent sorting, dating and re-sorting by the group, the majority of the donations had been sorted, including mountains of soup, tinned tomatoes and vegetables, hence this weeks pun!
Massive congratulations to Rauul who completed his 10th good deed tonight. Go give him a cheer on his profile to congratulate him! Hopefully we will have a new member of taskforce in Birmingham.
Next Monday we will be doing it all again!
