Bedder up than down
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in York.

Here's what Mr M of YO31 had to say about the mission:
The referrer has contacted us to say: Thank you so much for completing this task. I cannot begin to tell you the difference your service has made to patients’ lives. It is a wonderful that you can offer this help to vulnerable people. Please pass on my thanks to all the volunteers in the York area who have willingly and kindly given up their time, to assist myself, other healthcare staff, patients and their families.
Mr M is returning from hospital soon and needed a space downstairs for a hospital bed - this meant moving the existing double bed upstairs to a spare room. It was a beautiful evening as Angela and I turned up to make the shift. Mr M's wife had already dismantled the bed and had everything ready to go, it was simply a case of maneouvering the pieces up the stairs. The double mattress was by far the largest and most awkward piece to move, but was thankfully bendy enough to (just) squeeze around the corners, and we soon had that and the rest of the pieces in place, all without a single cry of "Pivot!" All done, we made our seperate ways away into the glorious evening.
