Berrying the evidence
13 GoodGymers made their way to help the Malago Berry Maze in Bristol.

13 May be unlucky for some but for GoodGym and the berry maze it was good news as it was the number of runners who came to help rescue berry plants from being swamped by weeds. These poor berry plants were planted along the perimeter fence in nice clear areas but they now couldn't see the sky, only the underside of their thistley neighbours. Imagine setting up a small two man tent in a field and then loads of marquees come along with massive awnings, absorbing all the water and food from the festival stalls leaving you completely surrounded, hungry and thirsty. Yes people, these plants were more desperate than Dan after he has drank three pints and can't find a toilet nearby. During the work we found old rusty tools and metalwork from the scrap that had been dumped here in the past. Fi even found a GoodGym red rock. After an hour of hoeing more than a broken supermarket santa, and digging and tearing more than a bitchy group of high school girls having a brawl, we saved those little beauties. Thanks all for coming out. I had a berry good time as ever!
