Block the halls with sofas of folly

An A team assembled to put Mr S's house in order for his discharge from hospital. Step 1 was to dismantle the bed and with tools provided by Mr S's carer this was done pretty swiftly. In the meantime she and her helper were sorting the sitting room and getting the sofa ready to be moved into the newly created bedroom space. And this is where we became a bit unstuck - like many a mad mission, the sofa was simply too long to get around the corners no matter what configuration we tried nor how much we heaved. So back it went into the sitting room and a large chair was instead moved, which, with a bit of reorganisation of the other furniture, made enough space for a hospital bed to be delivered. We then set about tidying the space and untangling the cables to make the room more welcoming, and hoped for a speedy return from hospital for Mr S to his refreshed home.
