Bootsy Call-ins
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Bristol.

This was my first mission to collect and deliver a prescription and it was a great success. I arrived early at the pharmacy as I knew it would be busy. Half an hour before opening there was already a well-spaced queue of 10 people thoughtfully standing away from those around them, but still chatting away about the local gossip, which was quite entertaining as I could hear everything with them talking so loud! The pharmacists were great and came along the line before they opened to take names and details of the prescriptions people had come to collect so they could get a head start prepping them. With one person allowed in at a time the queue extended quite a way down the road. After a while there were more spaced people than a collection of hippy astronauts at Woodstock led by Simon Pegg, Jessica Stevenson and Nick Frost. Once I had the package it was time to take it to Mr R. I was on my bike so I pedalled my way into Fishponds and found the correct door before being greeted by a very happy man. He was very impressed with the service and that I was like a bicycle courier. It felt great to help out too. I thrive on being able to help people and it is fantastic that GoodGym and The Red Cross have worked out a way for us to get into the community and do just that during this time where we community the most.
