Mrs B is much more mobile after physiotherapy and will be able to walk Molly again so this was my last afternoon of dog walk, taking in Marble Hill Park, Orleans House Gardens and the Thames path during a very high tide.
There was an opportunity to do a bit of practical science during the walk, testing out a recent study published in Frontiers of Zoology that indicate that dogs use proprioreception of the Earth’s magnetic field to "excrete with the body being aligned along the north-south axis.”
Although I didn’t have a compass with me, I can confirm that Molly did align herself N-S to do the deed. Although one dog poo might not be a statistically important on it’s own, this one certainly did support the theory.
And on that (bum) note this Doggysey ends.
