Another week, another run, lots of people, lots of fun!
We met up at the Folk House, cowering somewhat in the foyer and mentally willing the rain to stop. It was lightly raining when we set out, but luckily was not too cold. It really was that kind of run where you're not sure how many layers to wear and no matter what you chose, it's going to be the wrong choice!
Luckily lots of people chose to come running with GoodGym Bristol on Tuesday evening. It was a simple matter of running over to West Street in barmy Bedminster, dodging the Southville Running Club as always, and planting some bulbs. The problem was that the ground was really hard and clay like, and it was tough work planting those bulbs.
After 15 minutes, however, the supply of bulbs had been planted, the perennials we were given to plant were also snug in the soil, and it was time to go again. Queens Square beckoned, and sprint interval training commenced! Whilst there were many different levels of fitness, everyone sprinted well and used the recovery time wisely too. The extra laps of Queens Square came to almost a mile - so those who came can really take confidence that they went that extra mile for their fitness!
Massive hearty well done and thanks, people! The rain stayed at bay, we worked, then ran away! Now check out the website, and come running on Saturday!
