It was our last group run of the year and a lovely mild evening for a jog and a good deed ✅
We met at the Bridge House, had a quick warm up in the park and then hit the road for a 2k run to Cator Park. On the way we dodged several groups of people, got chased by a bus and did plenty of squats at traffic lights.
We arrived and met Millie and Lou who armed us with shovels, forks and plenty of bulbs. They instructed us to dig reasonably sized holes, trying to avoid the roots of nearby trees, pop a few bulbs in and then cover them up.
Doing it at night hopefully means the squirrels won't be able to dig them out - apparently they love to munch on tulip bulbs!?
A good 40 minutes and 200 bulbs later we called it a day. 💡
Great stuff guys!
