GoodGymers from Huddersfield, Barnsley and York gathered together for a post-parkrun community mission!
We met up to run the new parkrun at Storthes Hall near Huddersfield, which was a lovely three-lap trail course. Tom managed to fall over (but he was fine) and there were some very good running performances from the team too, Paul was third overall and Lizzie and I battled to be the first female finisher (she let me win).
Ash from the football club had prepped us a wheelbarrow of rakes, bags and spades. We took them all for a tour of the full car park before realising where our task actually was.
These are the heaviest rakes EVER
We were celebrating today because Marvellous Mel was doing her 100th good deed and had run exactly 100km this month for the January Challenge, she got the wear the Centurion Cape.
Legendary Leanne was doing her 300th good deed - an absolutely amazing achievement! Make sure you go and give both of them a huge cheer.
We raked up all the leaves around the clubhouse, scraped up all the mulch from the road and then cleared up the play area, bagging up all the leaves and distributing them back into the woodland.
With our good deed complete, we headed off for a team breakfast!
