It was Wand that came to the rescue again for the night's task. After our previous task was canceled last week, so I put out the call to see if anyone could do with our help.
Luckly for Wand, they had flyers printed and ready to go. They wanted us to deliver them around the Wood Lane Estate. They promoted their fantastic project that was setup to support people effected by the Grenfell disaster. The project offers free Multilingual, Multi-Cultural Emotional Wellbeing & Holistic Support, Tai Chi, Yoga and massages.
We have previously delivered this leaflet around the Grenfell area and White City Estate.
Wand is an independent charity that addresses the problems facing women in isolated and excluded communities through drop-in sessions, outreach services and networking events.

The run started out on a bit of a detour after I missed our first turning - whoops! Then it wasn't long before my phone decided it didn't like the cold and died... From then on we followed our nose and our memories of previous visits to get to the St Charles Hospital where Wand is based.
It didn't take us long to pick up the flyers and then we were back on our way. Which was good because we had another 5k to cover on the way back.
Once we reached Wood Lane Justine remembered to get a few group photos before the group split into two teams. Team A taking on the South side of the estate and Team B the North.
A speedy job meant the whole estate was covered in 13 minutes. Then we headed back to base to finish with a stretch have covered a whopping 9k.
