24 GoodGymers made their way 5km to help the Abbeydale Picture House in Sheffield.

24 TREMENDOUS runners ran 5km to the Abbeydale Picture House to help CADS with ongoing renovations to bring the old Sheffield icon back to use!

Also a big welcome back to Mike Jones who has returned back to us after the birth of his child. CONGRATS MIKE

HEADING OUT

After a quick group selfie by some passing paparazzi we split into 2 groups, one going slightly further and faster and one going more direct. Big thanks to Sam and Bash our newly qualified Run Leaders for leading their first run!

TEAMING UP

On what was a remarkably well timed meeting of groups at the venue we received a brief on the tasks for the night an split into teams;

*TEAM - PAINT THE DISABLED TOILET

*TEAM - PAINT THE TABLES

*TEAM - LIFT & SHIFT

*TEAM - BASEMENT BONAZA

Our teams got straight to work with the task, getting really stuck in and achieving an amazing amount of progress in a 45min period which is really appreciated by the guys at CADS!

TAKING CENTRE STAGE

On hearing the AIRHORN we downed tools and headed to centre stage for our fitness session which this week included some active interval work including:

*Seated Squat Jumps

*Star Jumps

*Press Ups

*Burpees

*Tri Dips

*Split Lunges

After a quick drink we thanked and got thanked by the task owners at CADS and set off back to base for stretches, a well earned drink and the tempting smell of BBQ at the Showroom.

PARTY TIME

'Long' term member Kim Longborn kindly put the feelers out for a Summer @GGSHEFF BBQ at hers in the near future. So keep your eyes open on the PARTIES section of the website and the Watts App group for details...
