After the recent storms a dry warm evening felt like paradise for the latest GoodGym Bristol Run. We me as usual at Roll for the Soul and ran south, via an extra lap of Queens Square to carry out some dynamic stretching and get fully warmed up.
We ran over the Gaol Ferry Bridge into Southville and to the Southville Centre. The Southville Centre is a fantastic centre which does masses to support the local community. Our task was to shift a load of boxes from the loft, sort the older boxes and move them to a different part of the centre and then rearrange the boxes to go back in the loft. Everyone got stuck in, and soon a human chain was formed! The loft was particularly high and cramped, and the boxes covered in thick dust, so it needed some real team work and hard work to get it done.
We completed the task just in time, which gave us enough time to run the long way back around the harbour. We stuck to a really impressive pace on the run back, quite a few of us have got runs coming up and the training is showing!
For the next run we are heading to a FoodCycle Growing site in Easton. You can sign up here
