Soooo edgy
Tonight's task was in Cator Park with their lovely Friends group. The path edges there have gradually disappeared, being taken over by grass and weeds. It was our job to take the path back!
First up though we met at the Bridge House, went through our favourite birds (!?) and then got going down the hill to Cator.
Edge Fun Manager
There we met chief Edge Fun Manager (she's recently been doing some actual Hedge Fun Management at nearby Alexandra Rec too!) Millie and also the fab Gill.
We cracked straight on as it was a bit nippy, slicing up the encroaching turf with shovels and putting it into buckets and a wheelbarrow which Ian then wheeled off and dumped elsewhere.
Rosie developed a neat trick for scooping up the soil (think knife, fork and peas...) and Sami was on a rampage slicing up metres of mud at a time.
We did a seriously big chunk of the paths, making them wider for park users and much neater than they were before.
Edging our best
Awesome job team! 🥳
