Mission

Elemen-tree, my dear Hoskins

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.

Beth and I met in Southwark to dig up some trees for Mrs D. This was easier said than done - as we started digging we realised that the saplings were growing out of the roots of the massive tree in her garden, and those roots weren't going anywhere! We satisfied ourselves with chopping the saplings down to stumps and clearing the nettles and weeds that had grown up around them.

We couldn't clear the whole garden - Beth was on a tight timeline to get ready for a Goodgym wedding (kudos for fitting a mission in)! But we managed to fill all the bags provided by Mrs D in just over an hour and she was very pleased.

With a quick pet of the friendliest cat in the world on the way out, we headed off on our way.
