Week 1 in tier 2 for Norfolk still meant we couldn’t serve meals in the luncheon club so what should have been their Christmas party turned into a Christmas meal delivery. Roast chicken, pigs in blankets, stuffing balls, roast and mashed potatoes , roast parsnips, peas, sprouts, carrots were the main meal, with Christmas pudding or fruit and jelly for dessert. Each person also received home made sausage roll, mince pie and a small Christmas Cake. I had to delivery three meals close to my home so witnessed their delight at what they were given although they were taken aback when an elf knocked on their door . Merry Christmas everyone, keep well and safe. See you in 2021 . I hope we’re able to let them back inside for them to meet up with their luncheon club friends, but I feel that we may still be delivering takeaway meals for a while yet.
