Everybody’s token at me
1 GoodGymer made their way to help the parkrun - Perry Hall in Birmingham.
- Saturday, 11th of January 2020
- Led by John Hayes
It was a windy morning (but when isn’t it?) in Perry Hall park. Today Tousif was the sole Goodgym volunteer doing his fifth good deed. Give him a cheer to celebrate this achievement.
It wasn’t the only achievement of the day as his choice of Token Sorting duties left him free to parkrun. Which was fortunate as today he set a new PB, going under 30 minutes for the first time! Into the bargain he found out that a work colleague runs by spotting them at the 5k today.
After the run, Tousif joined the core team of volunteers in the De Niro inspired Goodfillas Cafe (we also like puns in north Birmingham). This is one of my favourite roles, pacifying the organiser in me. I might have been frustrated though as they found two tokens were missing. Although, given there was a decent 194 runners today, isn’t a bad amount to lose.
Well done Tousif, you’ve made sure parkrun is ready again next week.
