Festive Foraging
2 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in York.
- Thursday, 29th of November 2018
- Led by Tim Mckenzie
GoodGym elves Tristan and Emily were BANKing on some Christmas spirit at Askham Bar Tesco as they helped out with York's foodbank drive. Tasks included handing out shopping lists, shaking money buckets, and organising/shifting the donated items.
The shoppers at Askham Bar Tesco were feeling generous today - we collected crates of non-perishable items and plenty of cash too. We even collected a bottle of Bucks Fizz which didn't make it through the sorting process - not sure where that ended up actually...
In classic good-deedy spirit, Tristan disappeared to go and help someone jump start their car. Feeling inspired by the general festive vibes at Tesco, he also planned to buy himself (and maybe Becky) a nice big advent calendar filled with chocolate, and is also considering developing a range of "Egg inspired" advent calendars, interspersed with treats like lunges and squats, to keep you fit AND festive this Christmas. Stay tuned!

Great report, thanks Emily!
I was actually considering bringing out my own special advent calendar...
