Flour's on the window
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.
- Saturday, 12th of October 2019
On a cold, drizzly Saturday morning, Rebecca and I went to Miss S's flat to help her with her windows. They had not been cleaned for a while and the anti-allergy netting had to be replaced. As an extra 'Brucie bonus', Miss S also asked for the kitchen floor to be mopped. After a bowel operation, Miss S finds it more difficult to be completely independent.
Having been given specific instructions on putting the netting up, including 'have an overlap, but leave a gap' and also the extra, optional challenge of tackling the year-old egg (and possibly flour) stain on the outside of her window, we got started. The excellent collection of cleaning materials meant that we were able to make good progress and the stains came off without too much trouble - Rebecca now has a new appreciation for the stain removal powers of Windolene. Even the egg came off with some dishwasher liquid and a bit of scrubbing. When we were done with the living room window, we did the bedroom window and finally finished with a well needed mop of the kitchen floor.

Fab report Bryon and amazing what two GGers can do in an hour or so!
Well done, both! A good start to a very drizzly Saturday.
