Four In A Bed
4 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.
- Monday, 22nd of January 2018
Monday afternoon and a 'Good' start to the week for Anna, Gosia, Nicky and I, as we met near The Elephant to enable Mrs B's return home from hospital.
The task was once again a furniture rearrangement job to create a microenvironment on the ground floor of (on this occasion) a 4-storey (!) house. We were met by Mrs B's friend, the heroic Dave, who had already started the clearing and lent a hand throughout.
The main effort was shifting a single bed from the first floor down some narrow stairs but we are all now experts in this particular technique, as any regular Mission Trooper should be. In military fashion, we stripped it down and rebuilt in the lounge before the hardest part of the task: dressing the bed with no less than 6 layers of bedding to Dave's exacting standards! This, we finally achieved and, after the obligatory 'we-fie' photo, headed back out into the night.
