5 local Goodgym gardeners joined us at the Highbury Quadrant Estate greening project on a super sunny September Sunday!

We met up with Frannie from Octopus Communities Network at the newly built tool shed behind the housing estate, and wheelbarrowed loads of tools to the wild gardens (spades, brushes, loppers, litter pickers and a massive axe!). Patrick and Ernestas were tasked with trimming down plenty of overgrown foliage surrounding the garden itself. Snipping, gathering and dropping off the green waste in a specified drop off point.

Sam and Jo handled a plot full of brambles in the garden itself, clearing away a path for visitors, while leaving space for fox dens! The fox families living here were not bothered by our presence at all, and bounced around the garden without a care in the world! Trainer Simon contributed towards some litter picking too, while snapping photos of the team at work.

Marvelous job everyone! A great contribution to a lovely project. We'll be back again soon!
