This morning I met up with Tim and Shel for a (hopefully!) quick pre-work mission.

Our routes to the mission location were all very different: I'd commuted to Lewisham from Essex using my ultimate Oyster card, Tim had run almost 10k to the venue (thanks in part to his natural navigational ability), and Shel had simply strolled 5 minutes from his house. Probably Tim's place in the Big Half spurred him to do some extra training!

The beneficiary for today's mission (Ms S) is currently in hospital. In order to be released, she needs some space made in her living room for a hospital bed. Therefore our task for the morning was to move some furniture from her living room to her bedroom.

On arrival, we introduced ourselves to the occupational therapist who showed us The Plan. The Plan was very useful for working out exactly which bits of furniture needed to be moved, although our emailed instructions were also very clear. While I double-checked The Plan against our emailed instructions, Tim popped a look at the bedroom to work out the space we had available before we started moving anything (thankfully the bedroom isn't going to be used post-release, so we could be a bit avant garde in our packing arrangements).

Over the next 10-15 minutes, we relocated a coffee table, a side table, a small bookcase and a sofa from the living room to the bedroom. Everything went pretty smoothly (only the sofa had to be put in a new configuration to get through the door - upright, so that it could be pivoted into the room about the doorframe). It looked a little dusty post-move (see photos), but Tim located a super swanky Dyson to give the living room a quick once over. [An accidental typo briefly labelled this room as the loving room, which is awkward but apropos given that tomorrow is Valentine's day. Besides, I like the idea that when we perform a mission, we leave a little love behind after us ❤️]

Job done, we made our goodbyes to the occupational therapist (I needed to rush off to work), and I gave Tim a brief tutorial on how to find his light for a selfie that we took in the neighbourhood before rushing off into rush hour traffic.

Great working with you guys - sorry I had to hurry off & hopefully catch you on another mission soon! 😄

Great report and mission Liz, Tim and Shel. Glad to hear you found The Plan as useful as I did (and appreciate the capitalisation)!

Thanks Alix - I'm personally very fond of Germanic capitalization when referring to schematics, so glad to hear it's appreciated! :D
