Another beautiful day for a litter pick with some welcome cloud shade and lots of dog walkers. We welcomed Sinéad today on her first Community mission and look forward to seeing her on many more. Find and click on her profile to 'support' her. We decided to walk anti-clockwise around the periphery and started finding litter immediately. A pair of rather bent spectacles found by Louisa and a wheel base of a child's toy truck by Catherine. The usual plastic, sweet wrappers, cans and bottles followed. Lots of wet wipes and some unused plastic bin liners plus a drinks flask that looked a bit battered! Jo and Louisa also found a Games Console just lying on the ground, hence the title. About 3/4 of the way round, one of the bins had been overfilled, and the wind had spread the rubbish over a large area. As a last push, we collected it all up before going back to the start, satisfied that for now at least, the green space was looking much better. We left the rubbish by the main bins to be collected and took away the glass, cans and plastics for recycling.
