Garden tidying and weeding for Mr G - part 2

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Oxford.

We prioritised pulling out a mass of Rosebay Willow herb that had self seeded and overrun Mr G's garden. He was clearly concerned about all of the tall weeds that had taken over. Fortunately it has very shallow roots and so we could pull it out by the arm load. As this was the second visit, we made good progress and took away about 6 bags of weeds. Once done, a lovely little garden was revealed with some pretty plants (salvia, fuchsia, briar roses) and a bird bath. We also took out all of the weeds from the patio and the gravelled front area.
Mr G seemed to enjoy spending some time chatting with us while we worked and was very pleased with the result.
