Gazebos R Us (sometimes)
4 GoodGymers made their way to help the St Paul’s Church of England Primary School in Kingston upon Thames.

It’s super Saturday!!!
Yep, an epic FOUR community missions lined up today and we kicked off the action by lending a hand setting up the summer fair at St Paul’s CofE Primary School.
Last time we were here, we spent most of the time messing around with the super soaker pressure washer, but on the hottest day of the year it was time to turn our attention to what has become GoodGym Kingston’s speciality (sort of): gazebos!
With lots of practice from setting up local farmers’ markets, we got cracking on assembling one gigantic marquee - only to discover that we’d actually missed a section of it and it was even more gigantic than we first thought!
All put together and lifted into place next to the BBQs, we were given the task of moving masses of generous donations from one classroom to the relevant stalls. We snuck out of the way when there was the dilemma of where the CDs belong (bric-a-brac vs books & toys?) and left them to the side in no man’s land.
Impressed by our previous gazebos wizardry, were then trusted with another one... but with all the expectation on our shoulders, just could live up to it and struggled to get our heads around the mound of pieces. Still, a 50% success rate can’t be sniffed at and we definitely left our marq(uee), with the school very grateful for all the lifting and shifting and partial-gazebing that we did.
