Seven runners assembled outside the stadium for a change, enjoying the most of the dry weather. After some discussion some runners even bravely decided to leave their waterproofs in their cars. After a quick game of volcanoes and cups we were off. We ran along the footpath behind the Town Estate, along St Andrews Rd and up Wakefield Rd, as we'd made good time we took a slightly longer route to the church along Broad Lane. We arrived at the church much warmer and somewhat out of breath. We were met by regularly GoodGymmer Ben, who'd decided to meet us at the task due to an injury. After a few comments about how sweaty we felt we got on with the task at hand. GoodGym Huddersfield are no strangers to Christ Church Moldgreen, having spent several hours attacking the infamous 'Jolly Big Bush'. In the Winter we thought we had final got the upper hand over the bush, but with all the wet weather it was beginning to make a come back. Wendy, Mark, Louise and I tackled the bush, while Ben, Meg, Helen and Catherine weeded and tidied the banking around it. After about 50 minutes of hard work and four brown bins of garden waste later the weather turned so we quickly tidied up and returned to the stadium along Kilner Bank, arriving back just as the heavens opened. A job well done GoodGymmers and thanks to Ben for this week's run report title.
