Gotta get to work, gotta get that bed!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Islington.
- Thursday, 7th of February 2019
For a break in my normal working day, this lunchtime I popped out for a quick mission with the awesome Latoya.
Our task was to help facilitate Ms V's release from hospital by removing a bed from her home. The removed bed was scheduled to be replaced with a hospital bed half an hour after our start time, so we had to get our hustle on!
We were told in advance that this would be a "simple" mission. So it proved, taking no longer than 10 minutes to remove a mattress, a couple of divan bases and a headboard (all of them beautifully disassembled for us in advance by some unknown angel).
Job done, Latoya and I made our goodbyes to the occupational therapists who'd afforded us access to Ms V's flat and stopped for a quick selfie before heading on our way (myself to get back to work - gotta get that bread!) Hopefully this means that Ms V's release is imminent 😄 Lovely working with you Latoya - I'm only sorry it was so brief!
