Great Teamwork at the Thames Hospice Shop
4 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Windsor and Maidenhead.
- Monday, 19th of October 2020
- Led by Sara Powell
John, Claire, Saqib and Sara all met at the Thames Hospice in time for a quick introduction.
Trudie & Sally greeted us with their normal friendly persona, then swiftly gave out our selected tasks.
This was John, Claire & Saqib’s first community mission and they did a fantastic job! No task was too small. A massive well done to them.
Claire proceed to clean areas of the shop prior to helping sort and hang clothes ready for sale.
John & Saqib brought all of Monday’s delivery in. It was a whole lot of lifting. Then they were given the task of boxing up fragile items in the Vintage section.
As per normal it was full steam ahead out the back. The window display was due to be changed and the theme was dramatic, vibrant colours. Hence, a few ball gowns had to be pressed.
As always it’s a pleasure to help out at this much needed charity.
