Green finger bandits Rose to the occassion
3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.
- Saturday, 13th of January 2018
On a lovely winters mormig, 3 runners came to the aid of Ms F who's garden had become overgrown.
After our introduction & Ms F being a lovely host offering tea to keep back the cold, we got started on tidying the garden, we divided up the two areas, Byron taking the weeds and brambles, Samuel using a knife to get the roots of weeds growing in the pavement other & Steve tacking weeds & trimming the rose bushes.
Usually at every garden task, treasures are found, so on rare occasions it can be more than the usual cutlery item or hidden pot. Byron won today's challenge by finding a plush toy whose happy face had us grinning from ear to ear.
After 2 hours, we cleared up the debris & wished Ms F a great day. With our good deed accomplished, we ran off knowing that we helped a lot in such a small time frame
