11 GoodGymers ran 4K to Gillett Square to hose and scrub a contain full of kids adventure play equipment!!
With seemingly most of Hackney enjoying an evening in the pub watching France vs Belgium the squad was a little light in numbers thus week but big in energy and heart!!
After a big congratulations to Mireille on her epic trail half marathon in Saturday’s heat wave! And a reminder about the amazing Hackney Wick Summer BBQ in next Tuesday’s Group Run!! Please sign up and come along for a very social GoodGym evening!!
A nice 2k run to Gillett Square through the pungent Ridley Road market. Meeting Keyo who with a huge hand from our very own Peter who worked his magic to get a key for the outside tap during the afternoon!! Thanks Peter!!
With a hose, water, nearly a pressure washer, and a new order more ordered container packing we got going. Taking the pop up playground kit out, hosing it down scrubbing it then rising it off!!
We got into a good rhythm but the woggles at the end took us into overtime!! With a speedy finish to the cleaning we still had the epic repacking job to do. Sorry for the overrun! Thank you to everyone for your hard work on a huge task for 11!!
All packed away with the container full to the brim we made our way home/back to the Bakehousewith a job well done!!
See you next week for the BBQ!! Please sign up so we have numbers for food!! Give me a shout if you have have any logistical questions about that run!!
Smooth Running
