Hello, and welcome to my BED talk 🤓
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.
- Thursday, 13th of February 2020
This morning I met up with Anna for a pre-work mission in Southwark!
Today we were helping Mrs M, who is hoping to be released home from hospital soon. GoodGym were asked if we could dismantle and remove a double bed from her bedroom to make room for a hospital bed in order to help this happen.
As Mrs M is in hospital, her son, P, let us into her home. P had already gotten cracking with dismantling the bed, so all Anna and I had to do was to carry a thin bed base and a light-ish mattress down the stairs and into their living room. It was so straightforward and fast that I can honestly say that I spent three times as long this morning waiting for a bus that never turned up as I did at Mrs M's! 😅
Without any moving incidents to make our lives more interesting (or to make me ramble too much in the run report 😅), we happily headed off to work slightly early, but not before taking a selfie I hated so much that I decided to Photoshop it using skillz 👍🏻 See if you can work out what I've changed: I think my blending is seamless 😉
Great working with you, Anna! Hope to see you at Camden's pub quiz night next Thursday! 😎😄
