How do you like them apples!?
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.
- Friday, 15th of May 2020
My run took me to Peckham to attend a mission for Ms V. On arrival I had been informed that Ms V has an hospital appointment in a hour so we agreed that I would leave her shopping with her neighbour if I arrive back too late. The Asda I was asked to go to was close by but unfortunately they had no avocado's and tinned sweetcorn so knowing that there are lots of options on the high street of Peckham I tried my luck out and stroke gold when I found both in one shop. I walked with pace hoping to catch Ms V in time before she would be picked up by an ambulance. Unfortunately I was late so after a phone call to Ms V daughter to explain the situation she also confirmed that the neighbours previously mentioned would be a safe place to leave her shopping. The neighbours kindly and thankfully took in the shopping to look after until Ms V returned from her appointment. What good apples her neighbours are. 🍏
