Five fantastic GoodGymers met at the Bridge House on the longest day of the year for a trip to the awesome Ignition Brewery in Sydenham. Ignition provides training and employment for people with learning disabilities to make and serve beer (and now ice cream... read on...) 🍦
We welcomed Catherine who was with us for her first GG Bromley run 🎉 and discussed which actor would play each of us in our biopic (with quality actors favoured over look-a-likes). After a quick warm up in the park we trundled over to Ignition.
After a couple of task changes, Richard asked us to pop some flyers through some letterboxes. Ignition has a monthly market coming up as well as a beer delivery service and it's good to spread the word about their fab work.
Clare and Catherine handled the west side of the high street whilst Alex and Sam went on the east side "Thorpes" roads, and I stayed back with Richard to put together some new tables they have for out the front of the taproom.
On everyone's return, completely flyer-less, and with Sam sporting a fresh bee sting 😔, Richard gave us a sample of some of Ignition's new ice cream. Mango or pistachio gelato 😋
On the run back, we had a quick game of Squat, Squat, Goose and then stuck around for a post-run pint!
Ace stuff everyone!
