I shear you baby, shaping that arch

11 runners went round the block to continue our mission to sort out the Library's garden.
Big cheers to Louise for being the first to arrive and keeping everyone company, while I sorted unlocking the back gate to the library. Giving me just enough time to get everyone out for a knees-high warm-up.
Having opted for the longer of the two proposed round the block routes, we threw in a extra loop of Clyde Circus, which unexpectedly turned into a race when one of the local kids took us on. He nearly won too, but his stamina gave out in the last 10 meters. Super speedy though!
Once we'd connected with the Friends of Tottenham Green, we headed to the back of the library and split into two teams.
Ollie and co. continued their topiary efforts; binding various tall plants into arches. The rest of set to work with the pruning shears, saws, and brute force, breaking up the large pile of woody detritus we'd collected on our last couple of trips to the library. I'm disappointed I didn't take of photo of the pile beforehand, because it's unbelievable how much we cleared up!
For the return loop, we threw in a little bit of High Intensity with an Indian File run. The whole group ran at a relaxed pace, but when a runner found themselves at the back, they had to sprint to the front. Followed by a cheaky 60 second plank before those all important stretches.
Next week we'll be heading back to the Bowling Green, and then on to Chicken Town for a quick refueling.
